About
My name is Destin Cramer, and I was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder in 2020. I’ve been creating art my whole life as a way to cope with my big emotions around trauma and mental illness. I recently started college to get a degree in Fine Arts and am continuing to create while I study.I have a DID system of over 100 alters. Not all of them come out often, sometimes at all, but a lot of them will draw as a way to cope with the experiences they had growing up. Their art is different than mine, but i want to value those experiences and artistic styles as a part of me as well as my more refined works.I have multiple disabilities and mental health issues that present a variety of challenges for me to overcome, but I use art as a way of dealing with all the difficulties and to communicate my experience to others.I hope others find peace, comfort, awareness, and inspiration within my variety of art pieces.
Art should comfort the disturbed, and disturb the comfortable.
